Where to place your orchid ?
All orchids love light, some more than others. But regardless what the specie it is, always make sure to place the plant close to the main source of light, beneath or facing a window for example, while observing a distance of at least 25 cm from it.
However fond of the light orchids can be, exposing it directly to the sunlight between 11am and 6 pm is to be avoided especially from mid-February to Mid-October.
During this period, it becomes essential to make sure they are protected from harsh daylight, by covering them with a muslin chiffon for example.
When in doubt, you can check the temperature of the leaves by carefully touching them.
These should not be hot to the touch.
